Nikon digital camera offers much better
contrast and colors than webcam (look also at my
tests - Still
Digital Camera versus Webcam). This
photo was made with substantial help of my wife,
who helped me to take out the scope with mount in
front of our block of flats and saved me at least
2 hours of sleep - I didn't need to wait for moon
to appear at our balcony side :-).
Processing:
1, 23 frames stacked in K3CCDTools
2, Unsharp mask (2, 0, 300) in K3CCDTools
3, Reduced saturation in edge areas of the moon (by
using circular mask) in Corel PhotoPaint - to
suppress chromatic aberration caused by refractor
4, Enhanced contrast (50%) in Corel PhotoPaint
5, Resized to various sizes in Corel PhotoPaint
