Jupiter photos quality and seeing conditions

The status of atmosphere is tho most critical factor in capturing high resolution planetary photos. This status is in astronomy called seeing. The seeing is influenced by wind, air turbulence, temperature of air and temperature of ground and by amount of moisture in air. Bad seeing is signalized by stars twinkling. Seeing is often very good for planetary astrophotography when a very soft fog is present - then atmosphere is usually very stable.

Here it is an example of various results achieved in various seeing conditions.
